Here is some further "campaigning" by the people who suggested the above names.

Mari, also called Andre Mari (Lady Mari), witch-goddess of the Basques. She lives in caves and brings storms, thunder and wind, cares for the dead, and upholds the law, punishing thieves and liars. She's also an oracle and will appear at the mouth of caves to prophesy if you call her three times. The spirals to me look like her winds and the gray color like her caves. Mari is also a goddess of spinning, which goes with the spirals too (she winds her golden thread using rams' horns as a bobbin). And Mari is identified with fire and with red animals (cow, ram, etc.): hence the red hair?

Abeona, as she is the Roman Goddess of Outward Journeys who watches over a child's steps and protects travellers. She is likely an old Italic Goddess who was later considered an indigimentum of Juno the Roman Goddess of Mothers, Women and their Children. The term di indigetes generally refers to deities whose functions were very specific and who were sometimes considered aspects of other deities. Often they preside over the ordinary matters of daily life.

Macha - Macha Mong Ruad ("red mane") associated with war, horses, sovereignty. She has red hair, and  I see she is gray and the swirls are like the spirals in Ireland… it just fits I think

Mahuika the Maori Fire Goddess or
Hinenuitepo the Maori Goddess of Death and Night
When I first saw her I immediately thought of New Zealand (we were there a couple of months ago) - the swirls on her dress reminded me of the koru (fern) - symbol of new life and new hope (very like the spiral). I don't know much about Maori Goddesses but maybe this is one of them?

Maman Brigitte, Vodoun Goddess of death and cemeteries. Creepy, sure, but her garnet necklace made me think of drops of blood, and her dress says "somber journey" to me, with the color and the spirals.

Selene, Greek Moon Goddess  The gray batik and swirls put me in mind of the moon. The red garnets also remind me of the the color associated with the Mother or full moon aspect of the Goddess.

Hel, Norse Queen of the Underworld, Crone Goddess of the Afterlife. She received the souls of the dead, housing them in an elder tree until their time to be reborn. The colors of this doll seem very much like a Goddess of the Underworld, and her spirals of grey and white seem to symbolize both sides of death and life, her red hair and garnet necklace embodying the symbolism of the blood of life.

(*apparently I made a mistake and Hel shows up as "Cadee" on the results page. Not sure why this is, but it figures I'd make at least ONE mistake, lol!!*)

Pasithea,  Greek goddess of relaxation (and possibly hallucinatory drugs!). Her silver/grey body is smoky and the colour of relaxation. The Garnet necklace adds warmth, detoxes and restores the body. I think the whole image suits her long ruby locks too.

"The Goddess with No Name" would be very interesting. I think that this Goddess could be the perfect one for someone beginning the Journey within the Tradition, walking for the first time the Goddess Path. This doll seems to be the perfect gift for this kind of events like for Wiccaning, Initiation, even for the First Red Moons! Sometimes we do not know which doll is aligned for someone else, for a gift. So, a "Goddess with No Name" is a good idea. She belongs to everyone, and no one at the same time! She can take a name later, chosen by the pagan who received her. There could even be a ritual created specially for her!

I think your new doll should be the Divine Mother. With the spirals, she’s the strength and power within all women.. and I love her

All of my wares are handmade by me, one at a time. This allows for a lot of attention to detail, and also provides the opportunity for you to make special requests.

Almost every doll can be made in any size or any color; if you like the adornments of one doll but the color of a different one, feel free to mix and match and make your own personal Goddess! Also inquire about having lavender added to your doll’s stuffing!

The embroidered gifts and toys are all made to order, so you can request color schemes really easily. I love working with people to fulfill these special requests and make a product that is unique and truly individual.

I ask people to expect a turnaround time of 6-8 weeks for the quilts, and 2-3 weeks for everything else, although I almost always get things out in a fraction of that time, if not the next day. As a mom home with her kids, though, I need to feel comfortable factoring in unexpected time delays. :)

(Note: I am not taking any more quilt order until 2006 - my apologies!)

You can order in two ways. If you enjoy using Paypal, you can order using the "Buy Now" buttons provided on each page. If the item you order is one with special needs (color and design choices, for example), I will email you with some followup questions once I get your order.

You can also just email me the old-fashioned way (haha!) and tell me what you want, and we can go from there.

Thanks for looking, and Blessed Be!

In her hair are 13 silver blossoms, silver being the metal of the moon, the flowers symbolizing the Maiden's blossoming beauty, and 13, of course, being the number of Moontimes in a year.

Please do feel free to email me with your orders, with the understanding that, due to some family circumstances, my turn-around time is just not what it used to be, however happy I am to spend a bit of time each day creating Goddesses to go out into the world. I am estimating 3-6 weeks for most deliveries, although I can probably accomodate you if you have a specific event within a shorter time period, so please do ask if you have a deadline -
sometimes I have dolls in my basket which are halfway ready to go!

I am Amaterasu, Sun Goddess and Ruler of the Six Directions. Once, when my brother greatly angered me, I took shelter in a cave, but I was unaware of the turmoil my disappearance had caused once Heaven and Earth were left in darkness. A sister Goddess lured me out of my cave with a good-natured trick, and I have since promised to never hide my light from the world again. I am greatly drawn to mirrors, shining surfaces that multiply the light of the Sun, perhaps because my name means, "Shining in Heaven."

We are the Gods of the Forest, Spirits of Rebirth and Regeneration, Consorts to the Mother Goddess, Fathers of All. Some see us as symbols of the wild part of ourselves, the link between our human self and Nature. Feel our presence whenever you hear the leaves in the trees rustle in the wind, and feel peace.

Maiden - Mother Collection

This special Maiden/Mother set is made up of the ultimate Mother-Daughter pairing: Persephone and Demeter. Here we see them adorned with spring flowers, happy in their togetherness. This would be a beautiful gift for a mother and daughter having a Menarche ceremony.

Only in this collection are Persephone and Demeter available in their matching Spring array!

The dolls in this package match almost exactly, symbolizing the important connection between mother and daughter before Persephone leaves her mother to go find her new self.  Not until Persephone descends to the Underworld does her appearance change.  This is why the larger, individual Persephone and Demeter dolls are seen with their Autumn adornments - they are older, wiser, and separate after the early, idyllic years.

Triple Goddess Collection

The goddess in all of her aspects, Maiden Persephone, Mother Demeter and Crone Hecate.

In the example below, I worked with a woman who wanted to honor her friend with a doll. She sent me the special accessories she wanted to use on the doll, all of which had personal meaning. The turtle button, the camera, and locks of her daughter's hair which I included with the wool stuffing all gave this doll a really personal feel. Her friend is a librarian, so we also included an embroidery of the emblem of Seshat, the Egyptian Goddess of Libraries.
