Cloth Toys

I love cloth toys for children, and personalizing them with my Dancing Goddess designs has been so fulfilling. There are cloth balls, cubes, bean bags, and treasure bags/purses which are all wonderfully tactile, as well as spiritually inspiring.

Cloth toys just feel good. Cloth balls and cubes are squishy, yet keep their shapes, and are safe to toss or kick in the house. Learning to toss and catch is great for hand-eye coordination. Beanbags are fun for this too! Beanbags can also be used for target games - make a circle on the floor out of yarn (or use a hoola hoop!) and practice trying to toss the beanbag into the circle. And of course older kids can learn to juggle!

The treasure bags/purses are fully lined and the seams are reinforced, good for years of play. Children love to collect things, and they can take these treasure bags with them on walks to collect pebbles or leaves, or they can just play collecting games around the house! These bags also make great trick-or-treat bags for little ones, since they are small (approximately 9"x9")and won’t hold pounds and pounds of loot you don’t want your toddler eating anyway. :)

I've been known to get into magical moods, during which I create fairies and gnomes. . .
